Lisa Hall Jewelry in Northeast Harbor

“As a kid, I used to fill my pockets with sea glass from the beaches on Cranberry Island. They felt like magical little jewels, a way to remember summer.”

For Lisa Hall, those childhood treasures became the foundation of a lifelong craft. After studying art history in Florence and apprenticing with jeweler Sam Shaw, she opened her first studio on Great Cranberry Island. Martha Stewart famously discovered that tiny shed in the woods, helping launch Lisa’s work onto a larger stage.

Lisa is known for treating sea glass with the reverence of fine gemstones. She never tumbles or alters it, instead waiting until two naturally shaped shards can be matched for a pair of earrings or setting especially luminous pieces in gold. Over the years, her collection has grown to include bold rings, delicate pendants, and custom commissions that turn a found shard or heirloom stone into something personal and lasting.

Her Northeast Harbor shop reflects that same sensibility. Alongside her jewelry, she curates perfumes, objects, and small treasures that she loves, creating a space that feels more like a gallery than a store. Customers return summer after summer, some bringing sea glass they collected decades ago, others simply seeking a piece that captures the memory of time spent by the ocean.

FAMOUS FOR:
Treating sea glass like fine gemstones, creating heirloom-quality jewelry that carries memory and place, and curating a shop that feels as personal as it is timeless.
